National Monument (Monas)

Standing proudly in the center of Merdeka Square, Monas features Italian marble cladding and is crowned by a 50 kg gold-foiled bronze flame symbolizing the nation's enduring spirit. Inside the base structure lies the National History Museum, showcasing dozens of highly detailed dioramas detailing Nusantara's journey from prehistoric eras to modern independence. Visitors can also take the elevator up to the 115-meter-high observation deck for sweeping panoramic views of the Jakarta skyline.
